As one of the original founders of West End Mortgage Group, Jason Whitehead has made it his mission to build a mortgage company that consistently delivers unsurpassed customer service, professional expertise, and sound mortgage advice to our company’s clients, prospective clients, and valued members of our real estate agent community. Jason graduated from the United States Naval Academy in 1991 with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Economics. He spent seven years in the U.S. Navy overseeing the supply and logistics operations of two major afloat commands. Jason left the navy in 1998 and joined Prudential Securities as a Financial Consultant. He spent four years working as a licensed securities’ broker, and in the summer of 2002, went out on his own and opened up West End Mortgage Group with his partner, Ra Jaddou.

Jason has devoted the last five years to creating the perfect mortgage company - a company that offers its’ clients a wide array of mortgage products, a company that its’ partner real estate agents can count on to always deliver our clients excellent customer service, and a company that our loan officers are proud to be affiliated with. Since the company’s inception five years ago, Jason has personally been involved in funding more than $500 million in residential and commercial loans. A consummate student of the industry, Jason prides himself on his vast experience working in this country’s financial services sector, his wealth of knowledge within the mortgage industry and his commitment to ensuring that perfection is achieved in all of his endeavors.

In the past year, West End Mortgage Group, under Jason’s leadership, has successfully transitioned from a mortgage broker to a mortgage banker, a transition that has greatly enhanced the company’s loan underwriting, funding, and closing capabilities. This added business channel has enabled West End Mortgage Group to successfully compete for highly coveted “preferred lender” opportunities at several of San Diego’s well-known and prestigious new condominium developments, opportunities normally awarded to the nation’s largest banks and lending institutions. Jason, Ra and Alexis are justifiably proud of the company they have built and the sound reputation that West End Mortgage Group has earned throughout San Diego County. They are equally proud of their excellent team of loan officers who work tirelessly to ensure that their clients and partner real estate agents are well-served.
